Coconut Chutney recipe

1 cup fresh / desiccated coconut
1 green chilli
small ball of tamarind
salt to taste
for tempering:
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp urad dal
¾ tsp mustard seeds
1 sprig of curry leaves
2 red chilli
Instructions ( 1 cup =255 ml)
firstly, grind together coconut, tamarind, chilli, salt with little hot water to a smooth consistency.
furthermore, heat oil in a small pan. add the mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, red chilli. fry till they splutter.
immediately pour the tempering on the coconut chutney and mix well.
finally, serve coconut chutney with any idli, dosa, vada or pakoda of your choice.
