Bread Samosa-Gobble

English Recipe

Ingredients:

6 slices white or brown bread

3 potatoes (boiled and mashed)

2 tsp ghee

½ tsp cumin seeds

1 inch ginger (minced)

½ cup peas

½ tsp coriander powder

2 tbsp coriander leaves (roughly chopped)

1 tsp salt

½ tsp fennel seed powder

½ tsp red chilli powder

1 green chilli (finely chopped)

¼ tsp garam masala

½ tsp amchur powder

½ cup flour

½ cup water

2 cups oil

2 tbsp ketchup (or any sauce of choice for serving)

Preparation:

1. Heat up the ghee in a pan and add the cumin seeds, ginger and green chilli, saute for a minute

2. Add peas and saute for another minute

3. Put in the coriander powder, fennel seed powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, amchur powder,

4. coriander leaves and salt, mix well

5. Add mashed potatoes and mix thoroughly, remove from heat and set aside

6. Cut the edges from all the bread slices and flatten them as much as possible using a rolling pin

7. In a bowl, mix together the flour and water to make a thick paste

8. Apply a little bit of the flour paste along one edge of the flattened slice of bread

9. Use it to form a cone shape, using the paste as the adhesive

10. Now stuff the cone with some of the filling and then seal the edges in the shape of a samosa

11. Heat up some oil in a pot and deep fry the samosas until golden brown

12. Serve hot with ketchup or any other sauce

13.Gobble, gobble, gobble!
