Aaloo 65- by Gobble

English Recipe

Ingredients:

5 potatoes (parboiled and finely grated)

¼ cup water

1 cup yogurt

1 cup flour

3 dried red chillis

10-15 curry leaves

2 tbsp oil

1 tsp cumin seeds

½ tsp mustard seeds

1 tbsp ginger (minced)

1 tbsp garlic (chopped)

2 tsp red chilli powder

¼ tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp coriander leaves (finely chopped)

1 tbsp lemon juice

Preparation:

1. To the grated, parboiled potatoes add in 1 tsp red chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ¼ tsp salt, 1 tbsp lemon juice and 1 tbsp coriander leaves

2. Add ½ cup flour and mix the whole thing well into a dough

3. Make balls of the mixture and deep fry until golden brown, set aside

4. In a bowl, mix the yogurt, the remaining chilli powder, ½ cup of flour and about ¼ cup of water, mix well

5. Heat up some oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and dried red chillies

6. Once they start crackling, add the curry leaves, ginger, and garlic, saute until lightly browned

7. Whisk the yogurt mixture once more to make sure it is smooth and then add it into the pan

8. Cook it until slightly thickened, then add the fried potato balls and toss to coat evenly

9. Serve hot

10. Gobble, gobble, gobble!
